Veterinary Technician - Oncology
Animal Cancer Care Specialists is seeking a veterinary technician to join our growing practice.
Position: Full-time veterinary technician, part-time considered
Qualifications: CVT preferred, oncology experience a plus

Skills: Strong IV catheter placement and phlebotomy skills are a must. Accurate drug dispensing and administration skills. Ability to obtain excellent radiographs. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with staff and clients effectively; ability and desire to build strong rapport with clients; ability to learn and use computer software to document medical notes.
Interests: Interest in learning about veterinary oncology and using this knowledge to instruct and educate clients. Motivation and desire to take on special projects such as developing client education materials, representing the practice at conferences, or developing SOP’s.
Job Responsibilities: Intake and discharge of patients for chemotherapy appointments; learn and follow all safety protocols to draw up and administer chemotherapy; instruct clients regarding treatments given and drugs dispensed; take radiographs; obtain and process laboratory samples; assist doctor with appointments and phone calls; client education.
