Veterinary Technician Supervisor - General Practice

Bulger Veterinary Hospital is a unique General Practice and Specialty Hospital with 24hr Emergency Care 365 days a year. We are excited to announce that we are expanding into a brand-new state of the art 17,000sqft veterinary hospital just minutes down the road. We are expanding current services and adding more departments and specialties. Bulger Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our General Practice team.

About the Job:  As a General Practice Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and training technicians in General Practice with a focus on Customer Service and Patient Care
  • Maintaining relationships across the hospital to achieve the highest level of communication and efficiency across the hospital
  • Assisting Hospital Director and Medical Director in Implementing department policies and procedures
  • Scheduling, participating in the hiring activities, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and excellence acknowledgments
  • Managing clients throughout their visit, providing outstanding client care service to maintain long term relationship with clients
  • Consulting with clinical staff and Client Care to assess and articulate any problems
  • Partnering with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments and procedures
  • Obtaining and processing laboratory samples
  • Utilizing different modalities of radiology imaging for patient assessment
  • Performing Laser treatments on patients (Training is provided)
  • This is a Full-time position of 36 hours and will include day and evening shifts and Saturdays.  The schedule will also include 3 Holiday shifts in the Emergency Department.

About you:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a Veterinary Hospital setting is required
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, listens and responds appropriately to concerns of other employees
  • Professional and keep calm under stressful and emotional situations
  • Flexible, Dependable, Responsible and possess Good Time Management Skills
  • Some Anesthesia/Sedation monitoring experience is required
  • CVT, LVT or VTS is preferred, Candidates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Ability to self-motivate in a high energy, fast pace multiple doctor practice
  • Maintain a positive outlook and the ability to work well with colleagues, clients and the community
