Veterinary Technician

Burlington Animal Clinic
Burlington, MA

Tired of working ER or at an understaffed location? Interested in adding more to your existing technician skills in a new environment?  Burlington Animal Clinic may be the place for you!

We are located on Route 3A in Burlington, MA and are looking for a full time person with experience. We are currently looking for Mondays 8:15-5:15, Tuesdays 8:15-5:15, Wednesdays 8:00-8:15, and Fridays 8:15-5:15 . We are closed on Saturdays!  There is some flexibility if you would like to come in a little later in the day or pick up extra hours on the fifth day.

BAC is a small clinic with a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere. We strive to foster a learning environment for all staff members and respect our employee’s work/home balance. No after hours commitment is required. Our clientele includes many long term clients, and we often see several generations of clients and their pets. Creating strong relationships with our clients and patients is a huge part of this role.

Currently, everyone works as part of a team within the clinic environment. Two people set up each appointment and/or tackle each technician visit. This has worked out well for training. We generally have 5-6 people on at all the time, with one doctor.

We offer competitive pay, health care (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), Aflac benefits, 401K with matching and profit sharing, continuing education opportunities, employee discounts, uniform stipend, and paid time off. As a staff, we enjoy frequent lunch and treats, especially on the busy days. Our six clinic birds (Rainbow, Gingko, Buttercup, Banana, Dandelion, and Sweet Pea) will sing to you and are happy to share your lunch.

We have one CVT on staff and would love to add another.  Several of our staff are trained on the job.  We would love to find someone that can help them learn new skills but who also respects the knowledge that they have gained.  Being able to fit in with regular staff is a very important consideration.

Job responsibilities include: client communication, venipuncture, radiology, taking histories on patients, patient restraint, preparing vaccines, and answering the phones. We can train skills that you don't currently have, but some animal experience is required. Pet sitting or owning a pet doesn't qualify.
