Veterinary Technician (specialty) CVT
Advanced Veterinary Specialty Center, formerly known as Veterinary Neurology and Pain Management Center of New England is a busy and growing specialty practice conveniently located in Walpole, MA. We are looking for multiple experienced Certified Veterinary Technicians, Technician assistants and receptionists for a variety of specialties to work in our brand new state of the art building.

We have onsite Digital Radiology, CT, MRI, Electrochemotherapy and a linear accelerator. Other services offered are regenerative medicine, rehabilitation (under water treadmill onsite), electrodiagnostic testing (EEG, EMG, ERG, NCV, BAER) and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for treatment of pain management, strokes and resistant infections. Required Experience: Certification and/or at two years of veterinary technician or tech assistance experience (preferably in a specialty field) is required. Necessary to have excellent communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, learn and handle multiple tasks. Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds and work on feet most of the day. Must be a team player, patient, and maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to anticipate and be detail oriented due to high level of patient care. Computer technological experience required. Responsibilities Provide compassionate patient care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during examinations and treatments. Assist veterinarians with procedures, including animal catheterization and restraint, while utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal anatomy. Maintain accurate medical records using computer skills and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans, fostering a supportive environment for both animals and their owners.
