Are you an experienced Veterinary Technician ready to take your career to the next level? Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is looking for a passionate, skilled technician to join our state-of-the-art Surgery Service!

  • Competitive Pay: $24 - $35/hour based on skill assessment and anesthesia experience. Even higher for VTS!
    • Additional compensation opportunities for anesthesia on-call hours provided through the ER service.

Your Role: As a key member of our surgery team, you’ll: 

  • Guide clients and patients through their visits, working closely with our multiple board certified surgeons and anesthesiologist to ensure exceptional care. 
  • Participate in patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and cutting-edge procedures. 
  • Monitor anesthesia, sedations, and surgical protocols, including scrubbing in on life-changing and life-saving surgeries (individualized onboarding and skills development plan included). 
  • Serve as a patient advocate, providing compassionate care and ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay. 
  • Level up your imaging skills! Our team is diving into advanced diagnostic technology, including CT & C-arm imaging, to support cutting-edge orthopedic procedures.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Currently active veterinary technician licensure; CVT, LVT, or VTS
  • At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
  • Anesthesia monitoring skills required (strong is preferred), radiographic technique knowledge, and a passion for delivering top-tier patient care. 
  • An ability to work both independently and within a team; a dedication to maintaining a positive, supportive hospital culture. 
  • Working knowledge of Ezyvet and/or Smartflow a plus.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role
